We acted for a company that had found that a rival company was using a similar name to theirs and trading off our client's goodwill. After the threat of court proceedings, the other company stopped trading under the name associated with our client company and gave undertakings preventing any further infringement of our client's rights.
We acted for a company which was a franchisor. One of their franchisees had gone into liquidation and a rival company had bought all of the franchisee's equipment. Some of that equipment contained intellectual property owned by our client. We recovered this property for our client and the purchasing company gave undertakings not to infringe our client's intellectual property.
