We acted for a landlord whose tenant had stopped paying rent. We served possession proceedings and obtained possession for our client together with judgment against the tenant for the arrears.
We acted for a landlord whose tenant was causing a nuisance to other surrounding tenants. We served a notice under Section 146 requiring the tenant to remedy the nuisance which in this case was noisy machinery. The tenant complied with the notice and the nuisance stopped.
We acted for a commercial tenant who had a lease protected by the Landlord & Tenant Act which meant that she was able to extend her lease at the end of her term. The landlord tried to prevent extension of the lease claiming that he was intending to redevelop the property. We managed to show that the landlord did not have sufficient evidence to show that he was going to redevelop the property and our client therefore obtained a new lease and was able to continue her business.
