A language school needed to expand. It identified suitable premises but they had planning permission for B1 rather than D1 use. We submitted an application for change of use on their behalf and obtained planning permission to enable their expansion to go ahead.

An educational institution was buying a house for some of its students to live in. They were confused by the many recent changes in the planning status of Houses in Multiple Occupation and also about whether new licensing requirements applied to them. We were able to guide them through the planning and licensing rules and make sure the project went ahead without hitches.

A developer was planning to buy an old industrial site but was concerned in case demolition of the old buildings was prevented either by designation as an Area of Archeological Importance or by listing. We explained the significance of designation as AAI and that this did not prevent redevelopment and advised that a certificate of immunity from listing could be sought which would mean the property was safe from listing for 5 years enabling demolition to go ahead.
