Something you have done is being challenged
You may have been threatened with enforcement action because of something you, or a previous owner, did or didn't do in the past. You might have been served with a Stop Notice or an Enforcement Notice.
It could be that the land was put to a new use in the past for which the necessary planning permission was not obtained. It could be that a planning condition or planning obligation has not been complied with.
It could also be that something that is happening now is being challenged - you may have been told to stop work on a building project you have started. Or the Council's decision to grant you permission may have been challenged by a third party.
Whatever the objection is to, we can give you chapter and verse on planning law and where you stand, and we can guide you in your dealings with the Council, advise you on the options open to you and the best course of action. If need be, we can represent you in any proceedings that ensue.
Please also look at the "Planning Offences" part of the "Defending You" section of this website.
