Mr Q owned an investment property opposite a vacant farm yard.  He wished to buy that yard. Considering Mr Q was planning to sell the yard on at a profit, we successfully negotiated the discharge of an existing covenant benefitting a previous owner in the case of any new development.  Checks revealed a potential Chancel repair liability. We advised Mr Q to take out Chancel repair insurance for himself and his successors. Once the purchase of the yard had been completed, we assisted Mr Q with the sale of his investment property and the yard as one site. As Mr Q is an international client, we were able to hold funds on his behalf to avoid any complications with the completion of sale.

We acted for a local housebuilder who wanted to buy 70 acres of land for a large housing development.  We acted on the strategic land option and guided them through the planning process, purchased the property , set up the legal work for the development and then acted on the sale of the houses to individuals.  We understand all steps of the residential development process which enabled all steps to progress smoothly and our client to realise its investment.

We acted for a US educational establishment who  wanted to buy its UK headquarters to coincide with the CEO's visit from the States.  We were able to do this within the deadline and also satisfy the banks requirements to lend on the purchase, which as the entity was based in the US involved liaising with Washington lawyers to produce the paperwork the bank needed.  We also acted on their connected sale where there were tricky planning issues to resolve - we suggested a way through this that enabled the sale to conclude to everyone's satisfaction.
