We were asked by a fast growing, award winning company that wanted to find a way of incentivising its employees and making them feel part of the business. We talked the client through various incentive schemes such as EMI Share Schemes. We then worked with the client to put together the suite of documents dealing with the creation of a class of shares designed specifically for the employees giving them a right to future financial rewards in certain circumstances. This involved producing share scheme rules, share option documents and liaising with the client and tax advisors to ensure the scheme was tax efficient for both the employees and the company.
