Mrs A had been married to Mr B for 20 years.  It was Mr B's second marriage.  When Mr B died Mrs A discovered that Mr B had left the house, in which they both lived and which was his only asset and was in his sole name, to his two children by a previous marriage.  We made a claim on behalf of Mrs A under the Inheritance Act on the basis that the Will had not properly provided for her needs.  Mrs A was successful in her claim and she was awarded a half share in the house.

Mr E purchased a property and employed a firm of solicitors to undertake the conveyancing.  The solicitors failed to point out to Mr E that the property was suffering from subsidence, which was identified in the Surveyor's Report carried out for the lender.  We sued the solicitor who had to pay damages to Mr E of the difference in value between the house with subsidence and the house without subsidence.

Mr F discovered a trespassers encampment in one corner of the land attached to his property.  We issued possession proceedings at the County Court and served those proceedings on the trespassers.  A Court hearing took place 4 days later where an Order was made for the trespassers to leave immediately.  The bailiffs attended the next day and removed the trespassers.  From the day of instruction it took us just 6 days to remove the trespassers.
