L was a successful sports player in his first year of a management degree when he was a passenger in his friends' car and involved in a serious RTA. L suffered a severe head and brain injury and initially was expected not to survive. L made a remarkable recovery but was left with personality changes and difficulties in cognitive and executive functioning. We acted for L to recover compensation. Liability was admitted. L went back to University after a year out and with a great deal of help and support obtained a 2:1 degree. His ongoing difficulties made it impossible for him to obtain work in management and he retrained as an occupational therapist. He recovered £675,000 for his injury.
