Mr B sustained complete loss of sight in his left eye as a result of a delay in diagnosis of a brain tumour. He obtained compensation in the sum of £825,000. This was made up of damages for his injury and past and future losses, including loss of earnings, care and miscellaneous losses such as assistive equipment.
