Mr F obtained compensation of £57,500 for serious injuries sustained when he was crushed between a barge and a bridge. Mr F sustained a double pneumothorax as a result of multiple fractures to his ribs on both sides.
Mrs B sustained wrist sprains, bruising, and a deep laceration to the back of her leg when she was hit with a trolley by a member of staff on a cruise ship. The wound took nearly a year to heal fully, causing recurrent infection and restricting her mobility. Mrs B received compensation of £13,000 for her injuries.
Whilst holidaying onboard a cruise ship, Mrs J was in her cabin negotiating a narrow gap between the foot of her bed and a fixed desk unit when she fell and sustained an injury to her leg from a metal projection on the bed frame underside. As a result of this fall, Mrs J suffered a 10cm laceration across her right leg shin bone and into the fleshy part of her leg. This injury required ongoing medical intervention including several visits to her GP's surgery, four courses of antibiotics and repeat wound dressings. Mrs J has been left with a permanent scar and still gets an occasional pain around the injury site. Mrs J was successful recovering £6,250.
