Whilst holidaying onboard a cruise ship, Mrs J was in her cabin negotiating a narrow gap between the foot of her bed and a fixed desk unit when she fell and sustained an injury to her leg from a metal projection on the bed frame underside. As a result of this fall, Mrs J suffered a 10cm laceration across her right leg shin bone and into the fleshy part of her leg. This injury required ongoing medical intervention including several visits to her GP's surgery, four courses of antibiotics and repeat wound dressings. Mrs J has been left with a permanent scar and still gets an occasional pain around the injury site. Mrs J was successful in recovering £6,250.
