Mrs A sustained a shoulder dislocation and a small fracture at the top of her arm when she tripped on a discarded rail in the thoroughfare of a department store. She recovered well but was likely to suffer some ongoing discomfort and restricted mobility permanently. She obtained £18,500 in compensation.
