Mr M, a labourer of 35 years was awarded £15,000 when he was diagnosed with Vibration White Finger caused by working with vibrating tools. Mr M was asked by his employer to operate Jack Hammers, Wacker Plates, Hammer Drills and Stihl Saws but was not provided with protective equipment to reduce the risk of injury.
The Estate of Mr H was awarded £285,000 when Mr H fell from the roof of his employer's work van which was not fitted with adequate safety railings. The fall resulted in his death. Mr H's wife and sons succeeded in recovering damages for loss of earnings and services dependency.
Mr C suffered an injury at his place of work after a shelving system which did not have the correct safety clips fitted, collapsed and fell on top of him causing him to be knocked unconscious and sustain a fracture to his right cheekbone. In addition to the orthopaedic injuries Mr C also sustained a severe case of post traumatic stress disorder which necessitated a lengthy period off work. We were able to recover the sum of £60,000 for Mr C.
